29 November 2011, Isle of Wight, UK: Gurit, a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced composite materials, is pleased to announce that its Automotive business, Gurit Automotive Ltd, has been honoured with three awards at the recent Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Business Awards for Excellence.
Gurit Automotive, a leading manufacturer of carbon composite body panels for the automotive industry, based on the Isle of Wight, was presented with the award for International Business, the Manufacturing and Technology award and the Business of the Year award. The awards were presented on Friday 25th November, at Cowes Yacht Haven.
Martin Starkey, Automotive Managing Director, comments, "I’m hugely proud of the Gurit Automotive team and receiving recognition from the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce. Supplying companies like Aston Martin, Porsche and Rolls Royce does not happen by accident, it happens because of hard work, dedication, and attention to detail".
The awards follow the recent High Commendation Award, in the Judges Special Award category, for Gurit UK, at the Best Factory Awards 2011, in recognition of Gurit’s Operations staff development programme.
